Our Warranty Promise
Latitude Fencing & Gates provides a 5-year warranty on our installation and workmanship for steel and aluminium fencing and gates. This covers defects directly resulting from our fabrication or installation under normal use and conditions.
What is covered by our warranty?

Latitude Fencing & Gates stands behind the quality of our workmanship and the products we supply and install.

Installation & workmanship – 60 months
Covers defects directly resulting from our installation or workmanship. -
Steel and aluminium fencing & gates – 5 years
Covers the structural integrity of steel and aluminium fencing and gates supplied and installed by Latitude under normal residential use. -
Gate motors, automation equipment, intercoms, electronic locks and access control – 2 years
Covered in accordance with the applicable manufacturer's warranty. Warranty periods may vary where a manufacturer provides a longer warranty. -
Powder coating and finishes
Covered against defects resulting from incorrect application or workmanship, subject to the coating manufacturer's conditions and environmental limitations. -
Manufacturer warranties
Products such as locks, hinges, motors, intercoms and other accessories may also carry their own manufacturer's warranty. Where applicable, Latitude will assist customers with the warranty claim process. -
Timber fencing and gates
Timber is a natural product and is not covered by Latitude's structural product warranty. However, defects caused directly by our installation workmanship remain covered under our workmanship warranty. -
Where a valid warranty claim is confirmed, Latitude will repair, rectify or replace the affected component as appropriate.
What is not covered by our warranty?

Our warranty does not cover damage, deterioration or movement caused by circumstances outside Latitude's workmanship or the normal performance of the supplied product, including:

Normal wear and tear, ageing, fading, chalking or weathering.

Natural movement, shrinkage, expansion, splitting, checking, twisting, warping, discolouration or resin/tannin bleeding in timber.

Ground movement, soil movement, subsidence, erosion or movement of retaining walls, buildings, driveways or other adjoining structures.

Damage caused by storms, strong winds, flooding, fire, lightning, hail, earthquakes or other severe weather or natural events.

Accidental damage, impact, vehicle damage, misuse, vandalism or deliberate damage.

Damage caused by modifications, repairs or alterations carried out by another contractor or third party.

Relocation, removal or reinstallation of fencing, gates or equipment after the original installation.

Corrosion or deterioration caused by coastal, marine, industrial or highly corrosive environments unless the product was specifically quoted and supplied for those conditions.

Scratches, chips or coating damage occurring after handover.

Damage caused by chemicals, fertilisers, pool chemicals, salt, concrete residue, corrosive cleaning products or other contaminants.

Failure caused by inadequate maintenance or failure to follow manufacturer maintenance requirements.

Electrical damage caused by power surges, lightning, water ingress, pest damage, existing wiring or electrical infrastructure outside Latitude's scope of works.

Batteries, remote-control batteries and other normal consumable items.

Changes to gate alignment or operation resulting from movement of posts, driveways, foundations or surrounding structures not caused by Latitude's workmanship.

Existing structures, posts, fencing, electrical systems or equipment that Latitude has been requested to reuse.

Minor variations in colour, texture, grain or appearance that are inherent in natural or manufactured materials.

Damage caused by vegetation, tree roots, animals or pests.

Problems arising from work performed contrary to Latitude's recommendations at the customer's request.
Australian Consumer Law

Our warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this warranty excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
